Salary Range: $30,000-$42,000. Position responsible for
representing the Regional Domestic Security Task Force in
Region 3, including Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval,
Gilchrist, Flagler, Levy, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns,
and Union counties. Must attend all RDSTF meetings, conferences,
and functions within the Region, and timely completion of
work products is essential. The Regional Planner will work
on plans, protocols, exercises, and training for the RDSTF
and the UASI. The Regional Planner position will also work
with and may be called upon to work in emergency response
planning, emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, hazardous
materials, mitigation, critical infrastructure, and Homeland
Security related exercises and projects. The successful
candidate is highly organized, can work independently and
has good research skills. Ability to travel from time to
time is required.
Excellent written/oral communications ability and interpersonal
skills required. Position requires teamwork and frequent
communications with critical clients. Flexibility of approach
to work tasks, with an ability to address multiple projects
and deadlines is necessary. Experience in project budget
management preferred.
Bachelor’s plus 2 years experience in Planning or
a Masters Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration
or a related field. Technical report writing and public
presentation responsibilities required. Applicant knowledge
of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program
(HSEEP) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
a plus.
